A spokesperson for LAS confirmed:

“We were called at 10.41pm on Wednesday 12 November to reports of a stabbing on Dudden Hill Lane, NW10. We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, paramedics in fast response cars and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team in a car from London’s Air Ambulance.”

Two patients were treated at the scene for stab wounds before being transported to a major trauma centre for further medical care. The victims’ current conditions have not been publicly disclosed.

How has the local area been affected by the stabbing?

Dudden Hill Lane remains closed in both directions between Burnley Road and Normanby Road, causing significant traffic disruption in the area. Traffic reporting service Inrix noted congestion extending back to Neasden Lane under the North Circular Road, with diversions in place southwards past Neasden Station. Residents and commuters are advised to allow for additional travel time.

Crime scenes have been established at the stabbing location on Dudden Hill Lane and also on Burnley Road, indicating an extensive police investigation.

Have the Metropolitan Police made any arrests or given an update?

As of the latest updates, the Metropolitan Police Service has not reported any arrests related to this stabbing incident. A police statement has not yet been released by the force directly, though MyLondon has reached out for more information.

The absence of immediate arrests suggests the investigation is ongoing, with police likely canvassing for witnesses and reviewing any available CCTV footage.

What is the broader context of knife crime in London?

The incident fuels ongoing debate about knife crime and overall crime rates in London. Former US President Donald Trump notably claimed that crime in London is “through the roof”, a statement that has triggered discussions across media and political spheres.

To provide context, MyLondon’s Callum Cuddeford examined police crime statistics to evaluate whether crime levels are actually rising or falling in London. The data analysis aims to present a factual picture against the backdrop of high-profile political comments and public concern regarding safety.

What responses have local media provided on the incident?

MyLondon has provided comprehensive live coverage and continues to monitor developments, including official statements and community reactions.

Their reporting includes real-time traffic updates, descriptions of emergency response actions, and investigation details to keep the public informed. Other media outlets have echoed these points, emphasising the seriousness of the stabbing and the disruption caused in the Brent area.
