As part of the ongoing investigation into the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old David Wynter in Wembley, two more suspects have been charged with murder.
David passed away following a stabbing incident at the Brent Civic Center on Engineers Way on Tuesday, August 25.
It has been confirmed by police that an 18-year-old and 17-year- old now face charges relating to murder and the possession of an offensive weapon.
Two More People Have Been Formally Accused Of Murder
On August 25 at roughly 2.30 p.m., police attended Brent Civic Center in response to reports of a stabbing.
The London Ambulance Service and police attended the scene,where they located David with stab wounds.
In spite of paramedics’ efforts, he died at the scene. Support continues to be provided by specialists to his family.
There was an arrest on Friday, August 28, of an 18-year- old man and a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of murder and unlawful session of an offensive weapon, according to police.
A boy, 17, and Jahquarn St. Hillaire, 18, both of Preston Road, Wembley, were charged with assault on Saturday, August 29. Their names can not be disclosed for legal reasons.
They will appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Monday, August 31.
Man Is Accused Of Assisting An Offender
Additionally, a 20-year-old man was arrested on Friday for assisting an offender.
The 20-year-old Farquharson has since been charged with assisting an offender. The suspect remains in police custody and will appear in court on Monday, at Willesden Magistrates’ Court.
After a 15-year-old boy was charged with murder on Thursday, August 27, the latest charges were filed against him.
He was arrested after a court appearance at Willesden Magistrates’ Court, and is set to appear at the Old Bailey on Thursday, September 24.
Police Look For Evidence In The Form Of Video Footage
Detective Chief inspector Aytaç Necati, who is leading the investigation said:
” We are continuing to investigate David’s tragic death.
” I am aware that a number of individuals were in the area at the time of this incident. They may have video footage of information that could assist our investigation.
” While I would urge people not to share video footage of this incident online, we are aware that some clips may already be circulating on social media.
” I would urge anyone who sees such footage or who has information that could help officers to get in touch with us.”
More Police Patrols In Wembley
Superintendent Chris Clarke, who heads emergency response policing in the area, added:
“My thoughts remain with David’s family and friends.
“We understand the concern that this incident has caused within the community.
“We have increased reassurance patrols in the local area. These will continue over the coming days and weeks.
” Residents can expect to see an increased police presence, and I would ask that anyone who has concerns speaks to officers.”
